As A-level exams were postponed, the Higher Education Commission HEC and heads of a few private sector universities decided to open the admissions of A-Levels. Students already wasted a lot of time due to Amid COVID-19. They took this decision because the exam will proceed in the month of October 2021 during the fall semester. Federal Education Minister, Shafqat Mehmood conducted a virtual meeting on Friday addressing that exams only postpone till June 15 due to a rapid increase in COVID-19 in Pakistan. In a meeting, Executive Director HEC, Dr. Shaista Sohail, stated
“We want to assure the parents and students that HEC and the universities committed to ensuring a student-centric approach without compromising the interest of universities and teaching and learning quality”.
Hence, HEC and all other public sector universities decided to open admission of A2 students without any wastage of time. The government of Pakistan did not finalize this decision yet. Till then, students must keep patience and wait for the notification.
