It is to inform you that the Sindh Government officially announced a public holiday on Friday (October 30), on account of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) throughout the province. This decision stated in a notification issued on Friday. It is also pertinent to mention that all public and private institutions of province Sindh will remain closed for the day. However, the buildings and mosques are illuminated at night to mark the public holiday.
The announcement was made by the interior ministry that all federal government and private institutions will remain closed on 30th October, Friday. Muslims around the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which is named Eid Milad-ul Nabi. However, the Rabi-ul-Awal moon has been sighted on 18th October 2020 and Eid Milad ul Nabi is celebrated on 30th October 2020. The notification regarding the public holiday has been issued for all the concerned departments. Not only the Sindh Government but also the government of Punjab also declared the Public holiday on the occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
