The KPK education Department has issued a notification regarding the promotion policy for the SSC and HSSC exams 2020. The announcement was published on 17 July 2020, in which all the detailed instructions about promotion criteria are given.

Promotion criteria for SSC and HSSC in KPK
All the aspects announced by the KPK education department about the promotion policy of SSC and HSSC are given below.
- Category 1
The board has decided to prompt the regular and private students of the 9th and 11th to the next classes. So, the board will issue the certificate to students having a remark “promoted.”
- Category 2
In 2021, promoted students will not appear in the composite exams. Their marks for the 9th and 11th will be based on the 10th and 12th class results in 2021.
- Category 3
The 10th and 12th class students will receive the marks according to their 9th and 11th class performance. All students will also get 3% extra marks from the previous exams.
- Category 4
Those previous students who failed in the 9th class by 40% marks will be considered pass in exams. But the board will not give an extra 3% marks to these students.
- Category 5
The special annual exam might be conducted between September and November. For the special annual exams, the following candidates are eligible:
- Those who are not happy with their obtained marks and want to improve. These students must inform their boards within the 15 days of the result.
Notification for the improvers and failed students
- Those students who failed in 3 subjects of 10th or 12th and applied for the annual exams will get passing marks. The marks will be according to the 9th or 11th class marks in those subjects.
- Those students who failed in the 9th or 11th class but passed the 10th or 12th class with 60% marks, will receive passing marks.
