Sehat Card Scheme in Punjab
Prime Minister Imran Khan recently launched the Health Insurance scheme in Punjab. Regarding this, PM attended a launching ceremony in Lahore yesterday and announced to provide a Sehat card for all residents of Punjab. Through this Sehar card, the citizens will be able to get medical treatments at low costs. Thus, through the Sehat cards, Punjab residents will get up to 1 million free treatment per year.
During the launching ceremony, the PM praised the Punjab Chief Miniter and Health education Minister for the efforts to make the Health Insurance scheme possible in the province. However, he also stated that till March 2022, all families would have Sehat Cards named as “Naya Pakistan Health Cards.”

However, before this, the Prime Minister launched the Health Cards in KPK in February. Now, Punjab has become the 2nd province where the Sehat Card scheme has been launched. On further talk about the Health Card, PM Stated that the government has spent around Rs 440 Billion during the three years.

Along with the issuance of the Sehat Card, PM also talked about the WEhsaas Rasahan cards for the citizens.
