Punjab Government changes the Promotion Criteria
Today, the Punjab Education Minister announced the new promotion criteria for the students. He stated that the government would promote the students on the 50% homework basis. The remaining 50% will depend on the examinations. So, the government also announced that now we would not promote students without examination.
Other than that, Murad Raas also stated that schools would reopen in the province in three phases. However, the 1st phase of face to face classes will start from 18 January 2021. But according to instructions, the education institutes will start the online classes of all grades from 11 January 2021.
About face to face classes, Murad Raas said that school would reopen under the implementation of COVID-19 SOPs. However, the government also decided to call 50% of students one day and remaining on the other day.

He also stated that pandemic caused a lot of educational loss of students. So, now the school will start with great SOPs and management.
